Red Cross Youth (RCY)

The Singapore Red Cross Youth (RCY) is a branch of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. RCY operates in primary and secondary schools, post-secondary institutions, and communities, offering young volunteers a smooth transition into adulthood. The organization focuses on character-building, leadership, life-saving skills, blood donation, community service, and humanitarian projects. It aims to develop 21st-century competencies, character, and citizenship among youth.

Organisational Structure:

We believe that everyone can make a positive difference in the world by helping others. Our cadets at EVG Red Cross Youth (RCY) also share this belief, which is why our organisation exists—to teach them the necessary skills and give them the confidence to make a difference.

As RCY members, cadets learn and practice leadership, disaster management, lifesaving, and blood donation skills. They actively help their local community and take part in humanitarian projects abroad. Our cadets have a natural desire to assist those in need and are known for their strong sense of responsibility and leadership qualities.
